Tips on Cleansing

  • Most problems associated with cleansing can be traced back to one main issue....are you Drinking Enough Water?

  • It is best to avoid drinking all caffeinated and carbonated beverages during your 9 day or 30 day program. Caffeine will dehydrate you. Carbonated beverages rob your body of calcium and will shut down your immune system for twelve hours or longer.

  • If you would like a warm beverage on a cleanse day, you can warm up your Cleanse for Life drink. You may enjoy a cup or two a herbal tea. Herbal teas are naturally decaffeinated. You should not add any sweetener, including stevia.

  • During your cleansing program, you will need to drink at least 12 to 14  eight ounce servings of purified water per day, especially on your cleanse day. If you drink just one 8 ounces serving of water per hour, at the end of a 16 hour day you will have drank one gallon of water. Water is the vehicle that helps remove impurities from your body.

  • If you do not drink enough water, the toxins can redeposit themselves elsewhere in the body and you may feel ill, with flu-like symptoms. Since you are cleansing and ridding the body of excess fluids, you do not want to become dehydrated, and WATER is the key to your success. Even when you are not cleansing, it has been suggested that you consume  a minimum of half your body weight in ounces of purified water daily.

  • You may experience some symptoms associated with ridding the body of toxins. Most of the time it may be caused by not drinking enough water, so the first action to take would be drink more water. Dehydration can be a cause of headaches. Headaches are also caused by increase blood flow to the brain. Other symptoms that can be experienced may be "flu-like" in nature. Nausea or loose stools may be experienced. If this occurs you may take a smaller dosage of the Cleanse for Life drink. Do this by drinking 2 ounce doses with water 8 times throughout the day. Always consult your Personal Cleanse Coach with ALL problems and concerns!

  • If you experience an upset stomach, you will need to take a smaller dose of Cleanse Drink and lots of water. If this occurs, you should eat one or  two of the Isagenix Snacks!â„¢ before drinking this powerful cleanse. You may feel tired for the first few days as the impurities are being removed, but your energy will build to a higher level within the first few days. For some this process may take longer, especially for those who are very toxic. On your cleansing days, make sure to rest when your body needs it. You may even want to take a nap on your cleanse days.

  • The Isagenix Snacks!â„¢ are NOT optional! They serve a purpose and have been put in the system for a reason. They will help to satisfy your cravings and provides nutrition throughout your cleanse day. They are the perfect blend of proteins, carbohydrates and essential fats that your body needs to maintain your metabolism while cleansing. If needed, you may use more than the 6 per day that are suggested.

More Cleansing Tips

  • If you are experiencing hunger pangs on your cleansing days, take 1 teaspoon of RAW organic apple cider vinegar and add it to 8 ounces of room temperature filtered water. Drink it down or sip on it as needed. You may repeat this process as often as necessary. This really helps chase away the hunger!

  • If you feel you must eat something on days you are cleansing, first try eating some more of the Isagenix Snacks!â„¢. Then if you feel you must still have something to eat, try some organic celery, or half an organic apple. Warning: When you eat something other than the Isagenix Snacks!â„¢ on a cleanse day, this will stop the cleansing process and start the digestion process. 

  • If needed you may have an additional 2 to 4 Isagenix Snacks!â„¢. Try to drink an 8 or 16 ounces serving of water with each Isagenixâ„¢ snack.

  • When you are on the go, you may want to carry extra cold water with you in a small cooler. Make sure you have your Isagenix Snacks!â„¢ with you. Be prepared!

  • Go to bed early. Getting enough rest is another key component that is often overlooked. Keep reminding yourself that failure is NOT an option.
